doing the right thing

Three cheers to the Brazilian court that ruled Sean Goldman must be returned to his father, David, by tomorrow. However, his father's battle won't be over until Sean is in his father's custody (back in the US) and when it does happen, it will be the culmination of a 5-year battle. I shudder at the thought of having to fight for 5 years to get Liam back. If you're not familiar with the Goldman case, google it.

Basically, Sean's mother took him to Brazil for a holiday, divorced Donald, and never returned--keeping Sean away from his father. She remarried and unfortunately died during the birth of her child with her new husband. Donald is both Sean's biological and intended father. Donald never gave up the fight for his son and despite extreme frustration, bureaucracy (and local /influence & bribery on part of the step-father's family); it seems Donald will prevail with the courts DOING THE RIGHT THING. I only can hope that our courts will do the right thing too.
